Location: S.E. Saskatchewan Storage Tank: 400BBL Problems: Paraffin Accumulation Desire: Clean tank with zero entry Number of Tank: 1 Historical Problems: This was a clean oil tank with over 2 feet of heavy tank bottoms due to paraffin fall out. All fluid was emptied out of tank prior to treatment Observed Results: The tank was treated with 1m³ of bacteria solution and 3m³ of hot water; tank was agitated for 48 hours. At the end of 48 hours a tank truck was tied on and 13m³ of fluid was pulled out; which was recycled and sold. Treatment Time: 2 days Location: Central Alberta Field: Red Deer Well Depth: 1600m Problem: Paraffin Formation: Belly River Number of Wells: 3 Historical Problems: Xylene treatments, hot oiling every 3 months Observed Results: Extended equipment life, eliminated chemical and hot oiling costs. Location: Central Alberta Field: Cynthia Well Depth: 1520m Problem: Paraffin Formation: Cardium Number of Wells: 4 Historical Problems: Xylene treatments, hot oiling every 3 months Observed Results: Extended equipment life, eliminated chemical and hot oiling costs. Location: S.E. Saskatchewan Field: Willmar Well Depth: 1239m Problem: Paraffin Formation: Frobisher Number of Wells: 3 Historical Problems: Chemical and hot oiling. Observed Results: Hot oiling has been eliminated, paraffin accumulations are controlled. Location: S.E. Saskatchewan Field: Steelman Well Type: Injection Problem: Carry Over Contamination & Scale Number of Wells: 2 Historical Problems: High pressure, low injectivity. Observed Results: BioAcid stimulation was done on both injectors. Injection rate per day on first well went from 4m³ to 25 m³, second wells injection rate was increased from 35m³ to 71m³ Injectivity rates were maintained for over a year. |
